This is hardly an alternative to the iPhone, with its basic features, small screen and bright design, but as a budget handset for messaging, social networking youngsters, it’s funky and fits the bill perfectly.

The Samsung Genio Slide fulfils the potential that we felt the Touch never really reached. Okay, the resistive touch-screen isn’t the best, but the QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA internet speeds and Wi-Fi connectivity make this a great social networking phone....
