Samsung Convoy 2

The Samsung Convoy 2 has a sturdy design, push-to-talk capability, a flashlight, and a built-in music player.

The phone doesn't seem as durable as it could be, and both the call quality and camera quality need work. It's disappointing that the Convoy 2 still has a 2.5mm headset jack.

Certified to withstand the elements, the Samsung Convoy 2 is also a ruggedly attractive handset with a fair number of creature comforts; however, the headset jack is a disappointment and there are more rough-and-tumble phones out there.

Nice features for flip phone

Very poor customer service and warranty when there is a problem. Their representative told me to send in phone for warranty repair/replacemnt. I was concerned because I got caught in the rain with the phone in my shirt pocket.

Great flashlight.

The option to disable the outside buttons does not work. A lot of people have been complaining about it. So when you put it in your pocket it sends text messages to the last person you sent a text message to, or the flashlight goes on etc.

he call quality is excellent and the phone has a great feel for typing. The phone is well built and feel very sturdy. The battery is commendable as well with 4-5 days of uptime with moderate calling and texting usage.

As mentioned by other users, this phone will have a tendency to "butt text" when you have it in your pocket because of the front facing keys. It's happened to me several times hence the docking of one star in the review.
