Admittedly, the space for the mouse to travel is relatively small if you've got your mouse set to low sensitivity. I keep mine relatively high anyways, so moving the pointer from one edge of the screen to the opposite edge won't run me off the pad ;...

This is going to be a long rant for a product in this price range, but Belkin should know better!

It won't work with an optical mouse, the surface is much too reflective. The wrist pad forces you to overextend your hand while using it & it's just way too uncomfortable.
