Decent kids computer

 

I got this for my kids room for something I wouldn't mind if it gets beat up. I added a referbed SSD and a cheap Nvidia card and it's now actually a pretty good light Steam gaming rig decent for lower level or older steam games for the kids. Great net...

Cheap at the 70-80 dollar price tag if you can get it at that. Mouse is actually pretty nice, good base unit for a few modern upgrades.

Not sure if it's worth it at 99 dollars, wait till it's cheaper Slightly older technology Little slow as is for even modern online games.

fast enough but filthy inside

 

I didn't care it's only 80Gig "spinner" mechanical hard drive, of course you'll begin by cloning it to a 120 or 240 SSD, they're so cheap now, and dramatically faster... the instant response you've gotten used to using your cell.

With twenty refunded as a gift card, a Windows "Professional" OS (Win7 or Win10, your choice) for a third the price of boxed retail license, and a working PC to run it on. Mine was shipped free with no sales tax. A 2nd CPU core to run anti-virus well....

Grey carpet yarn lint balls all over the inside and plugging up the radiator intake. Shield your face and blast it out with an air compressor air gun, and a dry paint brush.

Decent Deal But Arrived With Some Defective Components (CD/DVD Drive Broken).

 

The product has a 30 day warranty and I'm debating about sending it back for an exchange. The decision rides on whether the Disk Drive is worth my time and effort in mailing it back. The answer is probably a NO but I may send it back just out of...

It's a great deal for what you get with the stipulation that everything included works as it's supposed too.

-Right out of the box the CD/DVD drive does not function. The drive makes a awful grinding noise and fails to open. By opening it using the paperclip slot you can feel that the disk tray is broken. It does not read disks. -The Windows Update...

Just got it and sure looks like a great buy

 

Machine is clean and looks like new. Did come with wrong os (32vs64) but supplier took care of problem and now I have just what was ordered. Keybd and mouse were new. Hope it does not let me down, but has been running 24/7 for a week and seems to run...

Success with HP "refurbs", with either AMD or Intel CPUs

 

We all should know by now that a "refurb" generally means giving a device a good cleanup, making sure everything works, and, hopefully, resetting the OS (if applicable) back to defaults. I have had great success with buying pre-owned HP (and other)...

Not as described and poor refurbishing.

 

I would avoid refurbished HP computers because it is only resold, not refurbished. The fan full of dust indicates this. I have had success with refurbished Dell computers without problems. No way to resolve the 32-Bit OS vs. 64-Bit. Newegg refers...

Good HP quality computer but old

Came with Win7 Professional 32-Bit, not 64-Bit as described Not very well refurbished. The front fan is full of dust and dust balls on the motherboard. Support link goes to hp support where the warranty has expired.
