hardly a trace of noise from the base unit so must have a good fan fitted! 3 x USB ports at the front so real easy to use.

only 1 x DVD drive supplied and not the largest hard drive in the world supplied as standard

the product is good quality (as you would expect from compaq) and has so far worked faultlessly

the only bad point i have found is the operating system (vista home premium) it is very memory hungry, 1gb is barely enough but two or three would make this machine fly

There was something wrong with the windows vista installation which made the machine run slow for such a high spec. I reinstalled operating system and application software from CDs and now it runs like lightning.

Geneally excellent machine -good value

Windows Vista is confusing for my parents after XP. They want to go back to XP but it appears cannot do this

Easy to set up

Problems with Vista Aero animation and graphics card - NVidia graphics driver not fully compatible, no other drivers available - took some fiddling but no longer having problems.
