Terrible

 

Extremely dissappointed. I've only had this unit for 2 years? Its been well looked after (not abused) and yet constant problems playing DVDs. I will never buy LG again - even if they paid me.

HDD recording.

Takes ages to turn up and make its preliminary checks. Freezes often when playing DVDs - (new DVDs and other).

If it wasn't for the noise I would rate it as really quite good, but I must admit I am thinking of getting rid of it.

Timeshifting, recording to hard drive

Noise, has a whiny squeaky noise that is constant, even in standby. I have significant hearing problems (I normally have to have the tv turned right up in order to hear) and the noise is too much for me I have to have the unit turned off if not being...

This is a good machine for he price, but useless for DV camcorder use. LG should have put more effort into the design.

Very reliable and well built.

Camcorder input via DV results in vision only. There is no way to record sound. To record sound and vision to a DVD or the HDD you have to use the AV inputs - What were they thinking????
